Adware Report: .ANI exploit patch has been released, but it may break your computer...

Microsoft released the emergency patch for the .ANI exploit as part of yesterday's windows update, but as often happens with emergency patches, it can cause some of your existing applications to stop working.

Affected applications include Realtek HD Audio Control Panel and CD-Tag. If you are running these applications, you'll need to call up Microsoft and get a hotfix - it won't be distributed via Windows Update.
