Stats from Leading Windows Security Provider Show DesktopScam in Its Fourth Consecutive Month as Most Prevalent Threat
CLEARWATER, Fla.-- July 11, 2006
Sunbelt Software today announced the top ten most prevalent spyware threats for the month of June. The results are based on the monthly scans performed by Sunbelt's antispyware product CounterSpy(TM). DesktopScam continues to be the most prevalent threat with June stats reporting the highest number of instances over the last four months.
The top ten most prevalent spyware threats for the month of June are:
1. DesktopScam 3.32%
2. Zlob.Media-Codec 1.19%
3. Looking-For.Home Search Assistant 0.98%
4. Virtumonde 0.95%
5. SpywareQuake 0.86%
6. 180solutions.SearchAssistant 0.80%
7. Command Service 0.78%
8. FullContext.EQAdvice 0.70%
9. DollarRevenue 0.69%
10. Zango.SearchAssistant 0.68%
