Spydawn is a fake spyware removal program that is installed on your computer silently via trojans or other malware embedded within audio or video codecs. This program produces exaggerated or false reports of spyware infection and encourages users to purchase the full commercial version of the product. Needless to say, you should not purchase this software as it will not actually do anything should you buy it.

Spydawn is created by the same perpetrators of SpyAxe, SpyFalcon, and SpywareStrike. Domain information for spydawn.com indicates that this domain was registered by EstDomains, Inc., the same registrar for the earlier rogue versions. Furthermore, the contact information is hidden by Privacy Protect, a New Zealand based company. The earlier clones also were registered from New Zealand.
